First Ever Pat & Mat The Hyundai Pop-Up Store in Korea!

Pat & Mat Pop-Up Store in Korea – First Official Event!

The Ninja pop-up ended on June 18th.

I thought there would be some prep time before the next pop-up,
but nope—it started right away!

🧱 Pat & Mat
📅 2025.06.19 (Thu) – 07.02 (Wed)
📍 The Hyundai Seoul, B1 Event Hall

The Pat & Mat pop-up store is now open!
This is their first official pop-up in Korea.

🧰 Who Are Pat & Mat?

Pat & Mat is a slapstick animation created in the Czech Republic.
The show features two silent characters who always mess things up in the funniest ways.
It’s world-famous, and honestly—super charming!

🛍 Inside the Pop-Up Store

There were no QR codes required for entry,
and since it was a weekday, there wasn’t any waiting either.

The first thing you see is a giant air doll—
it’s the main photo zone spot!

They even stacked plush dolls like a tower.
And yes, these plush toys are also available for purchase.

There’s also a photo booth for taking 4-cut photos.
If you're a tourist visiting The Hyundai Seoul on the weekend,
it’s a fun little memento to take home.

There are lots of photo zones throughout the store,
cleverly arranged with cute props.
I heard a lot of people say, “Wow, so cute!”

🧸 Pat & Mat Pop-Up Goods

  • Face Magnets – 12,000 KRW
I absolutely loved the face magnets!
But I ended up putting it back… it was cute but a bit pricey 😢

Plush Keyrings – 19,000 KRW
These 12cm keyrings were super popular.
Most people at the checkout counter were buying them.
The price is about what you'd expect for branded character keyrings.

  • T-Shirts – 39,000 KRW
Surprisingly, the T-shirts were quite popular too.
There’s a black one with their faces on it—really cute!
I looked it up on Naver, and while they're sold online,
the pop-up price was actually cheaper.

If you’ve been wanting a Pat & Mat shirt,
now’s your chance to grab one from the pop-up!

  • Badges – 2,000 KRW
    They had lots of designs.
I spent a while holding them, wondering where I could pin them...
But I don’t carry tote bags much, so I passed 😅

  • Mini Stickers – 1,000 KRW
    Sticker Pack – 4,000 KRW
    Perfect for journaling fans!
I stuck one on my mirror and it looked adorable.

  • Postcards – 2,000 KRW (Square), 3,000 KRW (Illustration)
No pop-up is complete without postcards!
The red and yellow theme made them bright and colorful—so pretty.

  • L-Folder – 5,000 KRW
    A3 Poster – 8,000 KRW
Great for anyone who loves stationery.
Especially high school or college students carrying lots of papers!

🎉 Pop-Up Store Events

There were two interactive games you could try!

1. Match the Shape

A classic game for toddlers—
you place the right shapes into the matching holes under time pressure!

2. Stack to 55 cm!

Use weird little objects to stack up exactly to Pat’s height—55 cm.
Sounds easy, but the time limit makes it stressful!
I kept thinking, "Why am I doing this?!" 😂
The objects barely stack well, but somehow I kept trying.

🎁 What Do You Win?

You get stickers as prizes:

  • If you beat the time limit: 4 stickers

  • If you fail: 1 sticker

I failed both... so I got 2 stickers 😅

📱 Social Media Event

You don’t even have to buy anything!
If you follow their Instagram and post a story or feed update, you’ll get a free poster.

At first I wasn’t going to do it, but
after seeing the posters for sale inside, I changed my mind—
they were too cute to resist!

🎐 Free Fan With Purchase

Spend over 30,000 KRW and get a free fan!
There weren’t any big giveaways, but this is the first official Pat & Mat pop-up in Korea,
so most of the merch is exclusive to this event.

🖼 Free Poster

The poster I got from the Instagram event had vibrant colors.
While the ones for sale had more of a vintage vibe,
the free one had a bold, bright design that I personally liked more!
I’m planning to stick it on my fridge 😊
