Hidden BBQ Gem in Yeouido: Juicy Korean Pork at Namu Garden

Welcome to Korea! Instead of tourist spots, I’m going to recommend a real local gem for you.

My English might not be perfect, but I hope you’ll find it cute!

Namu Garden, a Korean BBQ restaurant near Yeouido Station, Yeouinaru Station, and Saetgang Station, is a must-visit spot for delicious grilled meat in Yeouido.

It opens daily at 11 AM and closes at 11 PM.

The main dining hall is also very spacious, making it perfect for group gatherings.

I was curious why a BBQ restaurant would be on the second floor, but once I got there, it made sense. The large windows offered an open view, giving the space a clean and upscale feel. One of Namu Garden’s best features is its many private rooms, available in various sizes to suit different group needs

At Namu Garden, they use top-quality Korean beef (hanwoo) and pork (handon) that have been aged for 15 days.

Maybe that's why the first thing that welcomed us as we walked in was the sight of beautifully prepared meat

Each private room is neatly set up with clean utensils ready for guests

The side dishes included a great variety: pickled garlic leaves, perilla leaves, sliced green chilies, green onion salad, kimchi, potato salad, lettuce, and fresh peppers — perfect for wrapping your meat or enjoying on the side.

The side dishes are perfect for pairing with the meat, and the dipping sauces include salted hairtail fish sauce, whole grain mustard, and wasabi. If you prefer sesame oil with salt and pepper for dipping your beef, just ask the staff!

Our meat dishes arrived — and wow! πŸŽ‰

Just by looking at them, you could tell how fresh they were, practically shouting ‘I'm premium Korean meat!’ The presentation included mushrooms and shishito peppers, which were delicious when grilled together.

Both the hanwoo (Korean beef) and handon (Korean pork) cuts were impressively thick and juicy

Grilled over charcoal, the hanwoo (Korean beef) was even more flavorful. The rib eye came with a generous chunk of chuck flap tail attached, and the fresh texture and fine marbling made every bite absolutely delicious.

The staff grilled the meat for us.

Most Korean BBQ restaurants have the staff grill the meat for you, making it much more convenient and enjoyable.

The hanwoo just melts in your mouth — and this is ribeye, no less!

If you're in Korea, make sure to try hanwoo and handon — the taste is on a whole different level. There's a reason why travelers on YouTube rave about Korean beef and pork!

If you're a foreigner visiting The Hyundai Seoul in Yeouido or the Han River Park, I highly recommend 'Namu Garden Yeouido'. They offer grilling services and private rooms for a more personalized experience.

The quality of the handon (Korean pork) and hanwoo (Korean beef) speaks for itself! Just go here — as a local office worker in Yeouido, I truly recommend this BBQ spot!

It will definitely be a memorable meal in Korea!

It's one of the softest and most melt-in-your-mouth samgyeopsal (pork belly) I've had in Korea. Truly exceptional!

This is an honest review, not sponsored, and I paid for everything myself.

In Korea, there are only three cuts of pork you need to try: neck meat (moksal), samgyeopsal (pork belly), and hangjeongsal (pork jowl)

When it comes to pork, each cut offers a unique flavor and texture:

  • Hangjeongsal (Pork Jowl): Known for its tender, juicy texture, hangjeongsal is rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of fat and meat. It's slightly fattier than other cuts, making it incredibly juicy when grilled.

  • Moksal (Neck Meat): Moksal has a slightly chewier texture but is still very tender and flavorful. It's leaner than hangjeongsal but still juicy, making it a great choice for those who prefer a bit more bite in their meat.

  • Samgyeopsal (Pork Belly): This is the most popular and well-known cut. Samgyeopsal has a perfect combination of fat and meat, giving it a rich, melt-in-your-mouth quality. It's a favorite for BBQ lovers due to its succulent texture and crispy edges when grilled

If you're on a budget and can't order more meat, go for the rice dishes, especially the cold noodles (naengmyeon) and the earthworm beef soybean paste stew (wooreong soegogi doenjang jjigae) — they're the best!

Namu Garden also sells HΓ€agen-Dazs ice cream. If you're up for it, it's a great idea to grab some dessert before you leave!

Once you try it, the tender meat and professional grilling service will make you want to recommend it to everyone around you.

If you order the handon (Korean pork) and try it, you'll understand why I keep coming back and recommending it to others! ❤️
